Another great way to help get the word out about palm oil and the orangutans is to write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. You can explain what palm oil is doing to the orangutans and explain how the public can help!!
Here are some ways to help orangutan for free!
1. Don't eat products with palm oil,palm kernel or oil palm in it. Just check the ingredients label.
2. If you find a product with any of the listed ingredients above, write a letter/email to the company saying you disapprove of having palm oil in their products.
3. Instead of writing a letter/email, write a petition! Get people to sign it and mail it in.
4. This is the most important thing you can do to save orangutans. EDUCATE! After all, who wants to deliberately kill orangutans? Tell your family and friends all about palm oil.

Orangutans need money! No, they aren't actually taking the money and going to a mall to buy some clothes. The wildlife sanctuaries where they live need money so that they can feed, shelter and take care of orangutans. Sadly, these sanctuaries are in desperate need of money. Here are some ways you can earn money:

4. Car Wash
5.Instead of asking for gifts for your birthday, ask for money
6. Wristband Sale
When you have money you can go to anyone of the numerous orangutan websites with a parent or other adult and donate the money! (We suggest Orangutan Foundation International (www.orangutan.org) or Orangutan Conservancy (www.orangutan.com))
Petitions are a quick and easy way to help save the orangutans! Here is an online petition you can sign! It would also be great to pass these on to friends and family! If you find more petitions online to help save the orangutans, email us the info so we can put up here!
